User Pixel MDM phone setup (Complete Setup)
1. Power on the phone
Press and hold the power button on the right-hand side.
2. Complete the initial setup
Go through the initial Get Started steps and connect to Wi-Fi.
(The phone must have an internet connection)
3. Google Sign-in
At the Google Sign-in page, enter:
afw#setup
4. Updates and Next
The phone will perform some updates. When prompted, press Next.
5. App Permissions
When you see the screen below, be sure to select "While using the app".
6. QR Code Scan
The camera app will open automatically.
Use it to scan the QR code provided.
7. Sign in with your BrighterPlaces account
Enter your BrighterPlaces email and password.
If prompted, approve the sign-in using your Authenticator app on your previous device.
(This may be via the app itself or a text message.)
8. Set up your Screen Lock code
9. Optional: Face or Fingerprint Unlock
You may set up Face Unlock or choose to use a simple PIN.
For simplicity, we recommend selecting:
"Continue without face or fingerprint"
10. Install Work Apps
Select "Install work apps" when prompted.
11. Confirmation of Installed Apps
You should see two green checkmarks next to:
Microsoft Authenticator
Microsoft Intune
Once complete, select Done.
12. Register the Device
Select "Set up" to register your device with BrighterPlaces.

✅ Setup Complete!
You’ve now set up your new phone.
Apps may take a few minutes to install and appear.
First App to Sign Into: Microsoft Authenticator
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open All Apps View.
Open Microsoft Authenticator.
Select "Add Work or School Account".
An approval request will be sent to your old phone. Approve it.
You can now proceed to log into all other apps.
💡 Tip: Stop Authenticator Asking for Your PIN Constantly
Open the Authenticator app.
Tap the Settings (cogwheel) icon.
Locate the “App Lock” option.
Turn the slider off.
Enter your PIN to confirm.
